Going into year 206 MDA will not be breeding, but instead be focused on showing and getting the young horses trained up. The customs are coming along nicely with just about everyone working under saddle now. There are a few that are still working through ground work, but there is no hurry for any of my babies.
There were two foals born here this year. The first on the ground was "Summer" out of Shine and by Thundersnow. Summer has had a month of training and seems to be cautious and a little timid but not aggressive. She does not have the greatest temperament, but if she continues to keep her behaviour in check she will be given a chance in the show ring.
The second foal was also from a maiden mare, who is now going to go about starting her show career. "Daisy" is also by Thundersnow; she is out of Spice. I have high hopes for this little girl, but I will reserve them and all judgements until she gets some training under her hooves.
There have been a few advancements in levels of competition for a couple of horses. Blue is now competing in Expert and HD is competing in Intermediate. Indi is going to try again now that he has a better foundation, there is no pressure on him though. He'll be ready when he's ready and if that is never he's got the bloodlines to keep him around.
Now off to get shows entered before I forget like this past month.
